This month, Galway Public library began a new service that allows people to download audiobooks from home with a click of their computer mouse. Users can listen to digital audiobooks through their computer or transfer them to a windows media-compatible MP3 player. (iPods are not compatible)

The service is free to anyone with a public library card (don’t have a card? Stop in to get one!).  A speedy Internet connection also helps. (Have a laptop? We have wireless at the library. Or, bring in your MP3 player and download audiobooks with a library computer.)

Over 1600 titles for adults and children, including popular fiction, classics, nonfiction, business, biography, and self-help are available 24-hours a day.  In addition, people will have access to 100 Pimsleur language instruction programs, including instruction for people learning English.

Sign up for an account and get more information at http://netlibrary.sals.edu then log-in at www.netlibrary.com.

Major funding for this service is provided by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors. Additional funds are provided by Crandall Public Library and the Southern Adirondack Library System.
